I think we have increased the checking because we were being hammered by AI scraping bots. I think it was a million hits a day causing a 70% load on the server. Some mod actions went from taking up to a minute to 4 seconds. I think the tradeoff is worth it for a more responsive forum.

Have to agree, although annoying it's beneficial.
RPI's forum is nice and fast. I like it like that.

Fido's been barking all day about discrimination against dogs. I explained since dogs are people too, it would be fine to click the check box and proceed to the forum. The canine coder looked confused and then whined something about pair programming. Apparently the pair includes K9 a robotic dog who is of the excluded class.

I'm not worried about Fido's threat for a class dog action, but if the three black kittens get involved, there could be trouble as cats control the Internet and are clearly not human.
