Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • max7219 on bullseye

I am using led modules supported by max7219 on my Raspberry Pi stretch versions. When I updated to bullseye and tried to run
pic3 install max7219
I got the following error
/ > pip3 install max7219
Looking in indexes: https://pypi.org/simple, https://www.piwheels.org/simple
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement max7219
ERROR: No matching distribution found for max7219
Am I no longer to use the led modules from bullseye.
